Welcome to KIOOSK, a Canada-based online business directory and classifieds platform. By accessing or using KIOOSK (the “Platform”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using the Platform.
- Acceptance of Terms
By using KIOOSK, you agree to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Platform.
- Eligibility
KIOOSK is intended primarily for users located in Canada. However, access is open globally unless restricted by applicable law. Users must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction to post ads or register business listings.
- User Responsibilities
When using the Platform, you agree that you will not:
- Post or promote illegal content, goods, or services.
- Engage in fraud, harassment, abusive conduct, or harm the Platform or its users.
- Attempt to scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Platform.
- Misrepresent your identity or business.
- Violate Canadian laws or the laws of your jurisdiction.
Some business profiles may be subject to verification, and administrators reserve the right to investigate listings to ensure authenticity.
- Content Standards
You are responsible for all content you submit, including ads, business listings, images, and text. By submitting content, you grant KIOOSK a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on the Platform. We may, at our discretion, remove content, suspend profiles, or ban accounts that violate these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or applicable laws.
- Payments and Refunds
Certain services on the Platform may require payment. All fees are non-refundable. Users who wish to discuss possible refunds must contact support, and refunds may only be granted at our sole discretion in exceptional cases.
- Privacy
Our Platform is designed to share business-related or generally public information. Users should not post sensitive or confidential personal information. While we take reasonable steps to protect user privacy, the Platform is provided “as is,” without guarantees, and users are responsible for ensuring the information they publish is appropriate for a public directory or classifieds environment. - Security and Safety
We maintain processes to detect, investigate, and mitigate security issues. However, KIOOSK does not guarantee the Platform will always be secure, free of errors, or uninterrupted. Users share information and interact with others at their own risk.
- Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KIOOSK is not liable for:
- User-posted content, including accuracy, legality, or reliability.
- Any damages resulting from use of the Platform, including transactions between users.
- Downtime, errors, interruptions, or data loss.
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”
- Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to remove ads, delete profiles, or suspend/ban accounts at our discretion if users violate these Terms, post illegal content, act against our Privacy Policy, or misuse the Platform.
- Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, users agree to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through direct negotiation with KIOOSK. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be pursued in the courts of Canada, subject to applicable jurisdiction and laws.
- Changes to Terms
We may update or revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on the Platform. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
